Govind Shrikhande has joined RedSeer as an Expert Partner, Retail. Govind is a retail expert with over three decades of experience. Over the last few years, Govind has advised a number of private equity companies including Kalaari Capital, Multiples along with startup CEOs and founders. He brings in the much needed hands on experience and understanding of the nuances of the changing retail ecosystem. Govind has a Degree in Textile Technology (B.Text) from VJTI Mumbai and Masters in Marketing (MBA) from Symbiosis Institute of Management, Pune. Retail industry is his major area of expertise. He had joined Shoppers Stop as Head of Buying and Merchandising in April 2001. He became the COO in 2004 and then the CEO in 2006. He became the managing director in 2009. Govind has won a number of awards and accolades including Retail Icons of India in 2019 by Images Magazine, Awards of Excellence 2012 by ASM Group of Institutes, Retail Professional of the year award by CMAI in 2009 among many others.
