The Problem Statement 

The home services market is experiencing a structural shift, from offline unorganised sectors to technology-enabled full-stack platforms. The pace of the shift, its scale and the competitive dynamics are not clear. The report provided a decision-grade analysis on:

  1. What is the speed of the market transition from offline unorganised sectors to organised online platforms? 
  1. How big is the opportunity across India and international locations, and where does the client have the right to win across segments and markets? 
  1. How does technology act as a driver of service quality, professional earnings and better support for the partners who deliver the services?

The Approach 

We structured the work across three areas: 

Firstly, we mapped the structural shift from offline unorganised channels to online organised channels. We assessed the pace of formalisation in the market, the role that digital ecosystems play in driving adoption of the online full-stack platforms and the market size across both India and the Middle East, with a view to where the right to win was strongest across segments and geographies.
