The Transport Ministry issued guidelines to motor vehicle aggregators under which a cap has been imposed on driver fees on platforms such as Ola and Uber at 20 percent of the fare for each ride. The aggregators will be allowed to charge a fare 50 percent lower than the base fare and a maximum surge pricing of 1.5 times the base fare.
