1. Redseer has created ECCI to assess the consumer sentiment and confidence around eCommerce

Ecommerce Confidence Index is designed to assess consumer sentiment and confidence in the eCommerce landscape by considering key factors such as expected evolution on eCommerce spending over the next six months, expected adoption of new categories / users and consumer’s service quality expectations from leading eCommerce providers. Thus, ECCI offers retailers additional signals into the ever-changing digital retail space and can enable them to take strategic decisions.

2. GCC markets are leading with higher confidence compared to Egypt & India…

UAE and KSA are leading our ECCI and are in the top band of the index. Comparatively, emerging markets such as India and Egypt score relatively lower on ECCI. This indicates that consumers in UAE and KSA have higher confidence on ecommerce compared to our other markets.

3. …driven by strong appetite for spending and better service expectations in UAE; however, KSA consumer are showing higher adoption across categories
